• The company provides end-to-end sourcing, product development and supply chain solutions to international clients.

ROLE MISSION :

• Lead one of the Merchandising teams in the Shenzhen office.

• Manage sourcing, product development and production activities for home products.

• Build and maintain a reliable vendor and factory network.

• Ensure products meet the required quality, cost and delivery standards.

• Improve merchandising processes, vendor performance and product execution.

• Support the development of competitive products for the US and European markets.

ROLE SUMMARY :

• You will lead a team of 5 merchandising professionals in Shenzhen office.

• You will oversee sourcing, supplier selection, product development, costing, production follow-up and quality coordination.

• The role will work closely with vendors, factories, designers, buyers, quality teams and overseas offices.

• The role will support the development of commercially viable home products for international markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES :

• Lead, coach and develop a Merchandising team of 4–5 members.

• Plan and manage sourcing activities for home products.

• Identify, evaluate and develop suitable factories and suppliers.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.

• Manage product development from initial concept and sample development to final production.

• Review product specifications, materials, construction, packaging and production requirements.

• Coordinate product costing, quotation analysis and cost negotiations with vendors.

• Source competitive products and propose suitable product solutions to internal teams and overseas offices.

• Work with suppliers to improve product quality, cost competitiveness and production efficiency.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.

• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to resolve product and production issues.

• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and follow up on corrective actions.

• Monitor vendor capacity, production capability, compliance and delivery performance.

• Work closely with overseas merchandising, buying, design, quality and business teams.

• Support the development of new product categories, materials and production techniques.

• Ensure products comply with customer requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations.

• Travel occasionally to factories, trade fairs and supplier meetings.

IDEAL CANDIDATE :

• University degree holder preferably in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, Product Development, Textiles or a related discipline.

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in merchandising, sourcing, product development or production management.

• Experience working in a trading company, buying office or sourcing office is required.

• Experience managing or leading a merchandising team is highly preferred.

• Solid experience in home products, hard goods, housewares, tableware, cookware, home decoration or seasonal products.

• Strong knowledge of product sourcing, vendor management, product development, costing and production follow-up.

• Experience supporting US or European customers, retailers or brands is preferred.

• Good understanding of factory capabilities, production processes, quality requirements and supply chain coordination.

• Proven ability to identify, assess and develop suppliers and manufacturers.

• Good understanding of product costing, margin control and cost negotiation.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Mandarin is essential; Cantonese is an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Willing to travel for factory visits and supplier meetings.
