Bidding & Design Manager (Water Treatment Plant)

The Job

• Client: An Environmental Engineering Company specialized in water treatment plant projects
• Position: Bidding & Design Manager
• Responsibilities: The position will work under the new business unit focusing on water treatment plant project worldwide. 
  • Bidding - Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in response to tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications.; Develop bid strategies, timelines, and documentation in coordination with internal stakeholders; Liaise with procurement, estimating, and project management teams to gather accurate data for bid submission; Oversee risk assessments and mitigation plans for bid proposals
  • Design Management - Lead the design development process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, environmental considerations, and client expectations; Coordinate with engineering teams to create innovative, practical, and cost-effective design solutions; Review and validate design proposals, technical drawings, and calculations; Facilitate value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
• $60-90K. 5-day. Medical. Bonus.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering
• Professional qualification; CEng, HKIE or equivalent
• Min. 15 years' experience in sizable water treatment or related plant projects 
• Good experience in bidding / tendering process
• Strong experience in design of electrical and/or mechanical system of water treatment plants
• Familiar with environmental standards and requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
