Managed by Edko Films Ltd, MOViE MOViE began as an international art-house movie channel (Now TV ch 116) launched in 2012 along with the MOViE MOViE Magazine. Over the years, it has gradually expanded into Hong Kong’s premier film art brand, operating two cinemas in Cityplaza and Pacific Place respectively. MOViE MOViE also works closely with local art and culture organisations to curate film events which bring the most culturally significant films from around the world and showcase great local films to Hong Kong cinephiles.
We are currently looking for a PR & Marketing Officer to join our team. You will be a marketing professional who will deliver the highest quality of abilities to promote the different MOViE MOViE services and programmes, including the TV channel on Now TV, and our cinemas. You will be involved in promoting different events such as film festivals “Life is Art” and “anifest”, and the production of our bi-monthly MOViE MOVIE Magazine. You will be a part of a team where everyone loves and celebrates different kinds of movies from all over the world!
Job Responsibilities
Handle media relations, prepare press release and all related promotional materials;
Assist in planning, organising, event co-ordination and implementing market strategy;
Initiate, coordinate and support promotional campaigns of TV and film programmes, cinemas and membership;
Prepare communication collaterals and promotional materials, including the MOViE MOViE Magazine, festival booklet, leaflet, press release, eDM, social media, etc.;
Handle social media communications and maintenance;
Assist the co-ordination of film festivals and events;
Liaise and co-ordinate internal and external partners and media for joint promotion and collaborations.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
possess a university degree or above in Films / Comparative Literature / PR / Marketing / Communications / Event Management / Arts Administration or other related disciplines;
possess 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience;
is excellent in spoken and written English and Chinese;
be savvy in digital marketing, social media, website and database management;
be proficient in using all MS Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and editing software(s) will be an advantage;
has strong organisational and multi-tasking skills;
has good interpersonal and communication skills;
is a team-player who can also work independently;
is willing to undertake irregular working hours – as working on the weekends and/or public holidays will be occasionally required;
has excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage;
loves films and have a demonstrable knowledge of films, arts and culture;
