Engineer (Ref. 261007003-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) facilitate student learning and development, and develop corresponding curriculum and pedagogy;

(b) lead and coordinate student learning modules and subjects, and promote teaching quality among colleagues;

(c) lead and organise research support and knowledge transfer activities;

(d) organise and implement strategic actions, regulations and procedures of the assigned team;

(e) lead and organise essential operations of the assigned team;

(f) assist in resources deployment and performance evaluation of the assigned team;

(g) work closely with stakeholders in the University, industrial partners and clients; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Centre or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree or a higher degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline;

(b) have at least five years of relevant work experience in sustainable materials (cementitious, polymer) or the development of intelligent 3D printing construction technologies for the building and construction sector;

(c) demonstrate a proven track record in managing complex engineering projects; and

(d) have a good command of written and spoken English.

Preference will be given to those with teaching or curriculum development experience in higher education, or R&D experience in Construction AI, Robotics and Automation.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
