Executive Officer (Ref. 260907005-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) oversee the administration of all postgraduate programmes and teaching and learning related exercises;
(b) lead a team of supporting staff to provide professional administrative support for programme matters and related student activities;
(c) provide active support to the planning, quality assurance and enhancement processes for all departmental programmes;
(d) provide secretarial services to senior management, various committees and meetings;
(e) assist in overseeing a wide range of operational activities of the General Office (GO) and supervising the GO staff;
(f) liaise with other academic departments and central administrative units within the University as well as external organisations on all matters relating to the administration and operation; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree;
(b) have at least five years of programme and related administrative experience at supervisory level, preferably gained in tertiary education sector;
(c) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(d) have excellent computer literacy;
(e) be proactive, self-motivated and a good team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; and
(f) have high level problem-solving and leadership skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
