FINANCE MANAGER – HK & SE Asia - trading chemicals / bulk commodities (Kwun Tong)

ROLE SUMMARY :

• You will oversee the finance, accounting and treasury functions for our Hong Kong headquarters and SE Asian offices

• You will lead, coach and manage a small finance team, take responsibility for financial reporting, treasury management, group consolidation and strategic finance initiatives, and support the company's regional growth strategy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead, coach and manage a finance and accounting team of 2–3 members in the Hong Kong office to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and operations

• Oversee the full set of accounts for the Hong Kong headquarters and review financial reports prepared by teams in SE Asian offices

• Manage month-end closing, cash flow forecasting, group consolidation and financial reporting across Hong Kong and SE Asian entities

• Own treasury functions, including daily cash management, bank reconciliation, fund transfers, multi-currency cash flow, foreign exchange transactions, liquidity planning and working capital optimisation

• Liaise and negotiate with banks on banking facilities, credit lines, guarantees, trade finance and other financing arrangements to support regional operations

• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, budgets and forecasts to support business decisions, investments and strategic planning

• Drive finance process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives to strengthen regional finance operations

• Provide finance leadership and support to business units on pricing, contracts, risk management and performance tracking

IDEAL CANDIDATE :

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; professional qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is highly preferred

• 10–12 years of solid accounting and finance experience with progressive responsibility; background in a trading, import/export environment is highly preferred

• Proven ability to lead and develop a small finance and accounting team in a regional, multi-entity setting

• Strong exposure to treasury functions, including cash and liquidity management, multi-currency and FX management, bank and financing arrangements, and working capital optimisation

• Regional exposure with hands-on experience managing finance operations across Hong Kong and Southeast Asia

• Proficient in English and Chinese (both written and spoken); Mandarin is an advantage.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar) is an advantage

• Exposure to industrial materials, bulk commodities or chemicals trading is an advantage

• Hands-on, detail-minded, proactive and able to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Report directly to the Director
