Foreman (Lifting)

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all site activities within the designated project section, covering work progress tracking, enforcement of proper execution procedures and methods, subcontractor oversight, and rigorous inspection and testing regimes;

• Ensure comprehensive quality control alongside strict adherence to safety and environmental standards, while proactively identifying and resolving operational issues to support the Supervisor in maintaining overall project control;

• Ensure that the lifting appliance is capable of carrying out the required lift, from the position identified;

• Ensure that the lifting appliance operator is qualified, trained and possessed relevant qualification, experienced and competent to carry out the lifting operation;

• Ensure that the lifting appliance is set up correctly;

• Ensure that all statutory inspection and testing certificates are in place and valid, and conduct a visual inspection of the lifting gears and supporting conditions (firm ground, pad/mat, extent of the outriggers, etc.) of the machinery, before work commences;

• Stop operations immediately where unsafe conditions or activities are present;

• Ensure the loads are safely secured to prevent slipping and displacement during the lifting operation.

Job Requirements:

• Completed the Safety Training for Construction Workers of Specified Trade (Silver Card Course) A12S Rigger and Signaller

• A craft certificate in the field of construction from a technical institute, or equivalent; or

• Completed a full apprenticeship or other approved course of practical training in the field of construction, plus at least 2 years’ post-apprentice/training experience in the trade; or

• At least 5 years’ experience in construction work;

• Attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard.
