We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences

 

Full-time Research Assistant I (R6A17) (A&SS) (Ref: 26001SC)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will primarily assist the Principal Investigator, Dr Julie Liao, in coordinating a research project related to developing behavioural interventions for supporting parents’ decision making in children’s influenza vaccination and other behavioural health-related research. The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting comprehensive literature searches and reviews;

  • Conducting pilot testing of the study instruments;

  • Managing project logistics, including the coordination of part-time helpers and data collection;

  • Cleaning and managing the dataset and performing data analysis;

  • Assisting in the preparation of research reports, academic publications, and presentation materials; and

  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Social sciences, Nursing, or other health-related disciplines;

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese,

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;

  • A strong sense of responsibility, and a hard-working attitude;

  • Experience in conducting surveys and behavioural interventions, competence in quantitative data analysis, and good computer skills will be advantageous.
