Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Chinese and History (Appointment for 12 months from Sep 2026 to Aug 2027) [Ref. T/148/26]

Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Chinese and History (Appointment for 12 months from Sep 2026 to Aug 2027) [Ref. T/148/26] 

Duties

1. Provide academic and personalised support to the students under the Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme (SALSA);

2. Handle teaching-related administrative duties as assigned by course leaders;

3. Assist in programme administration including admissions;

4. Assist in coordinating departmental seminars and conferences; and

5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. A Master’s degree or above in related disciplines, with teaching experience at university level;

2. Experience in providing academic advising or mentoring for students in the tertiary education sector;

3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

4. A strong growth mindset and commitment to student development; and

5. Excellent communication, collaboration, and people skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.

6. A long-term interest in sports would be a plus. 

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
