Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Linguistics and Translation (Appointment for 4 months from Sep 2026 to Dec 2026) [Ref. T/141/26]

Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Linguistics and Translation (Appointment for 4 months from Sep 2026 to Dec 2026) [Ref. T/141/26] 

Duties

1. Prepare teaching materials for linguistics and linguistics-related courses at the MA level;

2. Coordinate classroom activities and assist with course-related activities;

3. Support Course Leaders with marking assignments and examination papers, and provide feedback to students where appropriate;

4. Handle teaching-related administrative duties as assigned by Course Leaders; and

5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee may be required to work beyond normal office hours occasionally to support evening classes and related teaching activities.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in Linguistics. Good command of written and spoken English, ability to work independently as well as in a team, willingness to support students and an active learning attitude are required.  Teaching experience is preferred. 

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
