College Assistant Lecturer (Korean Language) in the College of Humanities and Law

Duties: The appointee will teach Korean language at all levels, coordinate part-time teachers, and assist in course promotion and administrative work.

Requirements:  Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a related discipline and a teaching qualification.  He/She must have native or near-native fluency in Korean language, good communication and interpersonal skills, effective class management skills, and the ability to motivate students.

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
