We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences

Part-time Lecturer (ENGL 3036AEF) (2026 Autumn) [UG] (A&SS) (Ref: 26001NN)

  •  ENGL 3036AEF English-Language Media and Pop Culture

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

-      Leading tutorials for the designated course.

-      Preparing tutorial notes and teaching materials.

-      Marking assignments and examination scripts.

-      Conducting other teaching-related activities as required.

 

Class Schedule

Classes will be held Tues (4pm-6pm) and Thurs (12pm-2pm).

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
Candidates should possess a recognized Master’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Film Studies, Cultural Studies, or Literary Studies. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a PhD in a related field and/or have demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary level.

 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions. The appointee will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from September 2026 to January 2027 for a maximum of 16 hours per week.
