A recognized degree in English or a related discipline. Relevant teaching experience and a postgraduate teaching/TEFL qualification would be an advantage.

ENGL 1122AED Presentation Skills

Applicants should possess at least a recognized degree in a relevant discipline such as English, public relations, or communications. Preference will be given to those with a relevant higher degree and teaching experience at the tertiary level.

ENGL 2202AED The Structure of Modern English I

A higher degree in English Linguistics or a related discipline. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.

LANG 4332AED Stylistics

A higher degree in Linguistics, English or a related discipline. Relevant teaching/research experience in stylistics would be an advantage.

LESM 2001AED Hong Kong Criminal Justice System

A recognized degree in a relevant discipline such as Sociology, Criminology, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, and/or Criminal Justice. Relevant teaching/tutoring experience at tertiary level is preferred.

LESM4001AED Law Enforcement and Policing in Chinese Societies

A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, in Sociology, Criminology or Police studies plus knowledge of Chinese Society. Relevant teaching/ tutoring experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.

LESM 4002AED Research Methods in Law Enforcement and Security Studies

A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, in Sociology, Statistics, Criminology plus knowledge of Chinese Society. Relevant teaching/tutoring experience in research methodology at tertiary level would be an advantage.

PSYC 3018AED History of Psychology

A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, in Psychology. Preference will be given to those with relevant teaching experience at tertiary level. A professional and cooperative work attitude is essential.

PSYC 4021AED Theories and Applications

Duration of Appointment
Tutors are normally appointed for approximately one to two semesters, depending on the length of the course.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions. Training will also be provided.
