Consultant (Banking Supervision) – Fintech / Suptech

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead specialist teams in formulating policy framework for Fintech developments, conducting related supervisory activities and promoting responsible innovation with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (A.I.), Distributed Ledger Technology and Quantum Computing
• Lead and manage the adoption of Supervisory Technology (Suptech) for the Banking Departments of the HKMA, particularly in integrating A.I. into supervisory processes
• Oversee the strategic transformation programme to enhance the agility of regulatory and supervisory functions across Banking Departments
• Drive the implementation of supervisory data initiatives, including the expansion of the granular data reporting framework
• Represent the HKMA in engaging various local and overseas stakeholders in Fintech and emerging technology developments such as regulatory bodies, representatives from the financial industry and academia 

Requirements

• University degree or above in finance, computer science, information systems, data science, or related disciplines
• Significant experience in the financial industry with at least 7 years of experience in supervision, risk management and application of technologies in these areas
• Experience in IT vendor management and coordination with external consultancy firms preferred
• Experience in business analysis and delivering A.I. solutions preferred
• Experience in managing product development process and collaborating with users in formulating product requirements preferred
• Strong organisational and project management skills 
• Thought leader with a view to creating viable solutions and building a digital culture
• Strong team leader and player who is open to new ideas and embraces changes
• A highly motivated self-starter with excellent analytical, writing and communication skills

Conditions of service

• Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
• A competitive remuneration package will be offered.  There is flexibility to take account of additional experience and qualifications
