IT OFFICER (contract 6 months) - Europe MNC trading electronic & electrical components (Kowloon Bay/5 days)

• Hong Kong office works as a trading office - handling purchasing, sales and order processing, logistics, accounting and stock control.

• Shanghai office is the APAC regional office.

• The group has more than 20 production sites around the world.

ROLE MISSION

• Help the Hong Kong office to successfully implement Yonyou ERP software.

• Work between Hong Kong business users, the IT Project Manager in Shanghai, and the external IT consulting firm.

• Make sure Hong Kong work processes are clearly understood, system changes are well defined, and users are trained and supported until the system goes live.

ROLE SUMMARY

• 6‑month contract role to support Yonyou ERP implementation in the Hong Kong office.

• You will be the only IT staff in the Hong Kong office.

• Focus on understanding and documenting Hong Kong trading processes in purchasing, sales, logistics, finance and stock management.

• Support system setup, testing, training and go‑live activities.

• Work closely with the IT Project Manager in Shanghai and an external IT consulting firm.

• Act as the main IT contact for the Hong Kong office during the project.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Work with the IT Project Manager in Shanghai and the external IT consultants to map Hong Kong office workflows in purchasing, sales and order processing, logistics, accounting and stock management.

• Turn business processes into clear user requirements and process maps to help modify and configure Yonyou before implementation.

• Take part in system configuration reviews, data preparation and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Support end‑user training, including preparing training materials, running training sessions and giving support after go‑live.

• Act as the local IT contact for Hong Kong users. Log, follow up and help resolve issues and change requests with the Shanghai IT team and the consulting firm.

• Keep project documents, user guides and change logs up to date.

• Provide general IT support to the Hong Kong office when needed during the contract period.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, business analysis or ERP implementation. Experience with Yonyou/UFIDA, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems is a strong advantage.

• Good understanding of trading office processes such as purchasing, sales and order management, logistics, inventory and basic finance/accounting.

• Able to turn business needs into clear system requirements and process flows.

• Comfortable working with cross‑border teams (Hong Kong and Shanghai) and external consultants.

• Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). 

• Able to work independently as the only IT staff member in the Hong Kong office.
