Role Mission

You will be responsible for driving the successful execution of IoT hardware ODM projects from kickoff through delivery.
The role ensures products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners across Asia.

Role Summary

This role is well suited to candidates with a strong engineering mindset and hands-on experience in hardware product development and manufacturing coordination.
You will oversee project execution, manage supplier relationships, support prototype and production cycles, and help ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
Candidates with a background in mechanical engineering, product engineering, or related hardware manufacturing environments, including EMS, will be especially well matched to this opportunity.

Job Description

Lead end-to-end execution of IoT hardware ODM projects from kickoff through delivery.
Work closely with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Support both new product introduction and the sustainment of mature production lines.
Manage cross-functional teams and external suppliers across China and Southeast Asia.
Drive EVT, DVT, and PVT prototype and validation cycles to successful completion.
Oversee procurement of tooling, samples, fixtures, and production equipment.
Coordinate with manufacturing partners to introduce, launch, and sustain production programs.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables, and provide regular progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure engineering, functional, and quality requirements are fully met throughout development and production.
Identify technical, operational, and logistical issues early, and work proactively to resolve them.
Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers.
Support cost optimization, process improvement, and efficiency initiatives across projects.

Ideal Candidates

Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or a related discipline.
5+ years of project management experience in electronics, hardware, manufacturing, or product development environments.
Strong understanding of hardware product development processes, including EVT, DVT, and PVT stages.
Experience working with manufacturing suppliers in China and/or Southeast Asia.
Prior exposure to mechanical components, product assemblies, tooling, or related manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
Experience in EMS, outsourced manufacturing, or similar production coordination environments would be an advantage.
Strong ability to manage projects from concept through production and delivery.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with international clients.
Good command of English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be an advantage.
