Role Mission

You will take technical ownership of IoT hardware product design, leading projects from concept through to production-ready deliverables.
This role plays a key part in ensuring robust design validation, certification compliance, and successful product launch for international clients.

Role Summary

This is a hands-on technical role for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning the full product development journey. You will lead hardware and firmware design activities, work directly with clients to translate requirements into specifications, and collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth transition from design to production.
The role is well suited to engineers who enjoy seeing a product progress from initial concept and schematic development through to validation, certification, and final shipment.

Job Description

Lead IoT hardware and firmware design and development from concept through to production-ready deliverables.
Take ownership of technical design activities across engineering, validation, and production handoff stages.
Work closely with clients to capture requirements and convert them into clear product specifications.
Drive validation activities throughout the engineering and design process.
Prepare products for certification, including FCC, CE, and RCM, and support pre-compliance testing.
Use in-house spectrum analyser and test equipment to support design verification and validation.
Lead analog and digital circuit design activities, including PCB layout coordination.
Conduct embedded firmware development and testing.
Collaborate with industrial design teams to ensure effective product integration.
Support tooling handoff and production readiness with Asian contract manufacturing partners.
Maintain accurate design and validation documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test reports, and related records.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant international certification and product standards.

Ideal Candidates

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of hardware or electronics design experience.
Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
Proficient in PCB layout.
Hands-on experience with Altium Designer is an advantage
Solid understanding of requirements definition, specification development, and validation processes.
Embedded firmware experience in C/C++, RTOS, or embedded Linux is preferred.
Familiarity with FCC, CE, or RCM certification processes.
Experience in pre-compliance testing.
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with international clients.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Chinese and Southeast Asian contract manufacturing partners.
