Role Mission
- To drive new business growth by developing freight forwarding and agent accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the company’s commercial expansion through effective sales execution and client management.
Role Summary
- Reporting to the General Manager of the Hong Kong branch office, the Sales Manager will be an individual contributor responsible for generating new freight forwarding business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and developing agent and nomination accounts.
- The role will work closely with overseas agents and internal teams to follow up on sales opportunities, prepare commercial materials, and ensure smooth coordination throughout the sales process.
Job Description
- Develop new freight forwarding business opportunities, including free hand cargoes and agent business.
- Manage nomination accounts and routing changes, and follow up on sales leads in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with air and sea freight customers, logistics clients, and overseas agents.
- Communicate and liaise with overseas agents to support business development and service coordination.
- Prepare monthly sales reports and support bidding materials or other commercial documents when required.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
- Monitor market opportunities, maintain client relationships, and support business growth initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and 3PL business, including at least 3 years in a solid sales role.
- Strong client base in air freight, sea freight, or logistics is a must.
- Proven ability to develop free hand cargoes, agent business, and nomination accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, multi-tasking, and able to work independently with initiative.
- Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Hands-on PC skills, particularly in MS Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of the US and Southeast Asian markets is a big plus.
