Role Mission

• You will lead the New Product Development Electrical and Electronics Team and drive the full cycle of technology development, concept design, product validation, and production support. 
• The role is responsible for ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and smooth execution from concept through commercialization.

Role Summary

• Reporting to the VP of R&D, the successful candidate will manage a team of engineers and oversee electrical and electronic design activities for new product development projects. 
• This role includes technical troubleshooting, innovation evaluation, design validation, production introduction, and ongoing support for product launches and lifecycle management. 
• The position is based in Dongguan and requires a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership capability, and cross-functional coordination.

Job Description

• Lead the NPD Electrical and Electronics Team in technical troubleshooting, product innovation, and concept evaluation.
• Oversee proof of concept development, design review, and validation for electrical and electronic systems.
• Manage electrical and electronic design introduction into production and provide production support as needed.
• Drive product launch readiness and lifecycle support from an E&E perspective.
• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective project execution.
• Evaluate product designs using engineering and quality tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Ishikawa Diagram, and related methods.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory and safety standards including FCC, UL, CE, EN, CSA, ISO, and IPC-A-610.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to technical development strategies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, IT Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a decision-making role within consumer electronics or lighting-related industries.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including hardware, software, and IoT applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of international regulatory and quality standards such as FCC, UL, CE, EN, CSA, ISO, and IPC-A-610.
• Ability to assess and improve designs using tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and Ishikawa Diagram.
• Knowledge of TQM, Balanced Scorecard, and Lean Design is an advantage.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles related to electronics/electrics is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Proactive, responsive, accountable, and able to anticipate issues with strong planning capability.
