PURCHASER - European watch manufacturer (Lai Chi Kok/5 days work)

Role Mission

• To ensure timely, cost-effective, and reliable sourcing of watch components for new product development and ongoing production, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting smooth coordination between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

Role Summary

• Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will work as part of a four-member Purchasing team in the Hong Kong office.
• This role focuses on sourcing and purchasing watch components for new models, negotiating prices with suppliers, following up samples and schedules, and coordinating closely with the Purchasing team in Shenzhen.
• No trips are required.

Job Description

• Purchase watch components for all new models.
• Conduct price negotiations with component suppliers.
• Follow up on sample schedules and delivery progress.
• Search for new watch component suppliers when required.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing team in the Shenzhen factory.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and support daily procurement operations.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the watch industry, preferably in component purchasing or sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of watch components and industry practices.
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and cost management.
• Familiar with watch components such as case, crowns, dials, hands, straps, and stainless steel jewelry.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent analytical ability for cost comparison and supplier evaluation.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese, with Mandarin preferred for supplier communication.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage documentation accurately.
• High integrity and ethical procurement practices.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills.
