COSTING ENGINEERING DIRECTOR – OEM Toys Manufacturing (Kwun Tong)

Role Mission

• To lead customer relationship management and costing activities for the OEM toys business, ensuring competitive quotations, profitable customer deals, strong client partnerships, and effective alignment between customer needs and manufacturing operations.

Role Summary

• You will play a key commercial leadership role in supporting business growth through customer relationship management, product costing, pricing strategy, and profitability optimization. 
• This role requires close collaboration with product development, factory operations, procurement, and overseas customers to ensure timely and accurate commercial support that drives successful business wins and sustainable margins.

Job Description

• Lead customer relationship management and costing activities for new and existing OEM toy business opportunities.
• Prepare accurate product costing, pricing proposals, and quotation support for customers.
• Provide cost options and commercial recommendations to improve win rates and profitability.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across key markets.
• Negotiate with toy customers and suppliers to maximize business profitability.
• Follow up key project milestones, commercial issues, and customer requirements.
• Actively network and identify new toy business opportunities in the PRC and overseas markets.
• Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships across different regions.
• Support business development through market intelligence, commercial analysis, and customer insight.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely costing and customer information.
• Travel frequently to Mainland China as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 10 years of experience in toys manufacturing, product costing, customer relationship management, product engineering, or a related commercial role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and key cost drivers.
• Proven experience supporting international customers with costing, pricing, and relationship management.
• Strong customer relationship management and commercial negotiation skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to maximize profitability.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
• Professional, detail-oriented, globally minded, and highly motivated.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network across expatriate and local environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preferably with factory experience.
• Willing and able to travel frequently to Mainland China.
