Duties
The Communications and Public Affairs Office is now seeking a high-calibre and passionate individual to join the events team under the Branding and Marketing division of the Office to execute the University’s branding and marketing strategy, take ownership of specific projects, campaigns and events, and manage day-to-day operations. The role will assist in delivering major branding initiatives (e.g. the University’s 90th Anniversary programs) while managing a portfolio of ongoing marketing and communications activities.
The appointee will be required to:
(a) serve as project lead for designated events and project workstreams (e.g., 90th Anniversary celebrations), driving them independently from conception to completion;
(b) drive end-to-end event content curation with a strong visual and storytelling sense, including developing emcee scripts and guest invitation, overseeing promotional and event videos, crafting voiceover scripts, sourcing video footage, ensuring videos effectively enhance key messages to impress the attendees and leave them with a memorable takeaway after the event;
(c) curate and execute promotional materials (e.g., eDM content) using blasting tools and manage seamless RSVP workflows;
(d) conduct daily communication with internal units and external agencies (e.g., designers, photographers, videographers, content creators, and production houses) to ensure deliverables meeting quality standards, strict branding consistency and strict timelines;
(e) assist in managing budgets for assigned projects, handling procurement documentation, tracking expenditures, and processing vendor payments;
(f) manage operational and logistical execution, e.g. guest invitations, venue arrangements, run-of-show planning, and on-site coordination;
(g) track performance metrics for campaigns and events, prepare rountine reports, analytics, and actionable insights; and
(h) participate in other branding, marketing, and communications projects as assigned by the Director of Office or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree with substantial experience, preferably of no less than eight years in branding, marketing, communications or related areas;
(b) a proven track record in end-to-end event planning, large-scale project execution, and high-impact content delivery;
(c) a sharp creative eye for visual and written storytelling, with hands-on experience in managing video content and writing scripts, and executing eDM campaigns;
(d) exceptional communication and project management skills, with the capability to manage complex logistics, multi-vendor timelines, and financial tracking independently;
(e) a strategic, solutions-driven mindset and strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across diversified-functional teams and leadership levels; and
(f) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
