NATIVE JAPANESE SPEAKING ASST SALES MANAGER - Japan food importer and distributor (Kwai Fong/5 days)

• We serve hotels, restaurants, retail chains, and food service operators in Hong Kong. With a strong commitment to quality and freshness, we work closely with trusted supply sources to ensure reliable delivery of high-quality products to the local market.

• Our fresh food offerings include selected items sourced directly from Japan, such as fresh fish and vegetables from Toyosu Market, delivered to Hong Kong through same-day air shipment arrangements to preserve freshness and quality.

Role Mission

• The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth by managing existing customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening long-term client relationships.

• This position requires strong commercial sense, active customer engagement, and the ability to contribute to both revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Role Summary

• Reporting to the Sales Division Manager, you will work closely with a sales team of three and be responsible for supporting day-to-day sales activities, client relationship management, order follow-up, and sales target achievement. 

• This is a hands-on role for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building business in a dynamic Japanese food trading environment.

Job Description

• Meet and exceed sales targets by promoting the company’s product portfolio to customers.

• Manage existing customer accounts and actively develop new business opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular client visits and follow-up.

• Understand customer needs and provide suitable product and service solutions.

• Provide after-sales support and handle customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

• Support the sales team in improving overall customer satisfaction and service quality.

• Handle daily sales activities to help achieve company objectives.

• Prepare regular sales and financial reports for management review.

• Collect market feedback, monitor competitor activities, and support sales strategy adjustments.

• Collect payments from customers and follow up on overdue accounts when necessary.

• Receive orders, input data, and confirm order details accurately.

• Carry out other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

• At least 1 years of sales experience; experience in the Japanese food industry is preferred.

• Native Japanese speaker.

• Strong selling skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Able to deliver presentations tailored to customer needs.

• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with data input systems.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team.

• Open to challenges with a positive and business-driven mindset.
