Officer – Industry Development, Safety

Duties include:
to assist in conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments across various service units and venues, and prepare reports with findings and recommendations;
to assist in investigating workplace incidents and recommending effective preventive measures;
to deliver safety briefings and support safety training activities for staff and contractors;
to support the review of safety-related submissions, including method statements and risk assessments, and provide recommendations on safety requirements for new equipment, facility modifications, work projects and operational changes;
to support the implementation of corporate safety policies and regulatory compliance requirements, and assist in organising safety awareness campaigns, workshops and engagement activities to promote a strong safety culture; and
to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
