We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Mainland and International Affairs Office:

 

Officer (International) (Mainland and International Affairs) (Ref: 26001WG)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the Mainland and International Affairs Office (MIAO) or his/her nominee(s), the appointee will support the team and its international student recruitment activities. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Managing international student recruitment administration, including but not limited to day-to-day operations of the recruitment pipeline, handling inquiries from international applicants, and undertaking document checking and preparation related to scholarship nomination and administration

  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, particularly central units and academic schools at HKMU, to ensure effective communication and collaboration in support of recruitment efforts

  • Implementing targeted student recruitment plans for priority regions in the international market to meet enrolment targets; travel outside normal office hours may be required

  • Assisting in the analysis of application and admissions data to support the preparation of relevant reports

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of MIAO or his/her nominee(s)

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business-related discipline

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in full-time programme administration or project management within the tertiary education sector

  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua

  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills, with a strong team spirit

  • Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Study abroad experience is preferred

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
