The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. Department of Design and Architecture

Major Duties:

The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum, teaching & learning, and assessment materials.  He/she shall also support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities, and undertake academic and administrative support services for the Product Design programme.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline, with at least 4 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level and/or professional experience in related fields. He/she should also have good interpersonal and communication skills, and a good command of both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua. Linkage with industry or professional bodies, experience in AI-enhanced Industrial Design, taking products fully from idea to manufacturing, teaching thesis writing, programme and curriculum development would be an advantage.

Notes:

(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and work irregular hours, including weekends, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will mainly work at the Chai Wan Campus.
