PRODUCT DEVELOPER / SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - garment manufaccturer casual wear sports wear fast fashion US market (Lai Chi Kok)

ROLE SUMMARY : 

• You will be the main owner of assigned US brand programmes in woven and knit casual wear and sportswear. 

• You will work independently on all development steps: understanding buyer briefs and trends, proposing styles and fabrics, managing costing and sampling, running fit sessions, collecting comments and driving approvals, and handing over to production teams.

• You will report directly to the Director and work closely with merchandising, technical, sourcing and factory teams to turn commercial goals into workable products.

• This is an office‑based role with no travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Turn US buyers’ seasonal briefs, trends and sales targets into clear product ideas and range plans.

• Manage the full product development cycle on your own: style ideas, fabric and trim sourcing, costing, sampling, fit sessions, comments and approval tracking.

• Work closely with factories in Southeast Asia / Jordan, merchandising and technical teams to keep development on track and meet production deadlines.

• Work on costing and product improvements to meet the target FOB price, while maintaining required quality and compliance standards.

• Control timelines and critical paths; solve development problems quickly and update the Director and team regularly.

• Keep clear and accurate development records, tech packs and sample files.

• Make sure all products meet US market standards and customer rules on quality, testing and sustainability.

IDEAL CANDIDATE :

• Tertiary education preferably in Fashion / Textile / Garment Technology or a related subject.

• At least 10 years of hands‑on product development experience in a garment factory or supplier, with strong exposure to US market programmes.

• Good knowledge of woven and knit casual wear and sportswear (tops, bottoms, outerwear, active sets).

• Able to work independently and manage full development cycles with minimal supervision.

• Experience in fast fashion, casual wear or sportswear is a strong plus.

• Proficient in English and Chinese; Mandarin is a plus
