PRODUCTION MANAGER | Diesel Generator Sets / Power Solutions Manufacturing | Assembly Plant Operations (Yuen Long)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Oversee end-to-end production and assembly operations of diesel generator sets, including engines, alternators, control panels, enclosures, and related power systems.

• Ensure production schedules are met and products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.

• Monitor production progress, material availability, and workflow to identify bottlenecks and take timely corrective actions.

• Work closely with project, engineering, sales, quality, and supply chain teams to align production output with project specifications and customer requirements.

• Improve production processes and assembly lines to increase efficiency, reduce waste, optimise resources, and improve throughput.

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of around 30 people in the plant, while building a strong culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with internal standards, ISO requirements, and relevant industry regulations.

• Oversee testing, inspection, and final quality checks of completed generator sets before shipment.

• Monitor key performance indicators, prepare production reports, and drive improvement initiatives.

• Ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.

• More than 5 years of experience in production management or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.

• Solid understanding of assembly processes, testing procedures, and production planning.

• Experience in lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001.

• Experience in diesel generator sets or power solutions is a big plus.

• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including project, engineering, and support functions.

• Responsible, proactive, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Proficient in English and Cantonese or Mandarin is highly preferred.
