ROLE MISSION
To manage waterproofing and building construction projects smoothly, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards.
ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Project Director, you will manage assigned projects from planning to completion.
You will coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal colleagues to ensure that project work progresses smoothly.
You will also supervise junior staff, monitor project costs and schedules, and handle project documentation and technical submissions.
This role is suitable for a responsible and hands-on construction professional who enjoys working with people and managing projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage assigned waterproofing and building construction projects independently.
Plan and coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, and site work.
Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Obtain quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
Compare quotations and assist with supplier and subcontractor selection.
Monitor project costs, procurement, variations, and subcontractor performance.
Prepare and submit product data, material samples, shop drawings, method statements, and other project documents.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Follow up on site progress, workmanship, inspections, testing, defects, and rectification work.
Review drawings, specifications, work programmes, and site conditions.
Assist the Project Director with customer enquiries, technical matters, variations, and other project issues.
Lead and supervise junior project staff in planning, coordination, documentation, and project follow-up.
Attend site meetings, project meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings as required.
Prepare project reports, progress updates, records, and other documents.
Resolve project issues promptly and maintain good working relationships with all project parties.
Perform other duties assigned by the Project Director.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Tertiary education in Building Studies, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction or project management.
Experience in waterproofing is highly preferred.
Candidates with experience in basement construction will also be considered.
Good understanding of construction methods, project coordination, subcontractor management, procurement, and cost control.
Experience in preparing product data, material samples, shop drawings, method statements, and other technical submissions.
Able to manage projects independently from planning to completion.
Able to work well with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal colleagues.
Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
Familiarity with Hong Kong construction practices.
