QUALITY CONTROLLER (QC) - handbag, small leather goods, travel goods & luggage - US buying office (Kwun Tong)

• Our products are sold through major retailers, department stores, specialty stores, online platforms and other distribution channels. We are known for delivering stylish, functional and good-quality products that meet the needs of different customer groups and market segments.

• The Hong Kong office plays a key role in the company’s Asia operations. We support sourcing, product development, production follow-up, quality management, shipping and supplier coordination. We work closely with colleagues in the United States, factories, vendors, freight forwarders and business partners across Asia.

• Our team works with suppliers and factories in Asia to develop and deliver products that meet brand standards, customer expectations, target costs, quality requirements and delivery schedules.

ROLE MISSION

• To ensure that handbags, small leather goods, luggage and travel accessories meet the company’s quality standards from production start to final shipment.

• You will carry out inline and final inspections, work closely with factories and suppliers to resolve quality issues, and help ensure that products are delivered on time and to the required quality level.

ROLE SUMMARY

• This is a hands-on quality control role covering fashion handbags, small leather goods, luggage, travel bags, backpacks and travel accessories.

• You will conduct inline and final inspections at factories, monitor production and delivery progress, identify quality problems early, and work with merchandising teams, factories and suppliers to find practical solutions.

• You will also provide technical advice on materials, workmanship and production processes. Where applicable, you will support the manager in factory audits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct inline and final quality inspections for fashion handbags, small leather goods, luggage and travel accessories.

• Check product materials, colours, construction, workmanship, measurements, packing and overall product quality.

• Monitor production progress and delivery status, and report updates to the merchandising team.

• Identify quality issues early and communicate closely with merchandising teams, factories and suppliers.

• Provide technical support and work with factories and suppliers to resolve quality problems.

• Follow up on corrective actions and ensure repeated quality issues are properly resolved.

• Ensure products meet approved samples, quality standards, customer requirements and delivery schedules.

• Support the manager in conducting factory audits, if you have relevant experience and knowledge.

• Maintain clear and accurate inspection reports, quality records and follow-up documents.

• Build good working relationships with factories, suppliers and internal teams.

• Travel frequently to factories in Mainland China, mainly Guangdong, and Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia and other locations as required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• At least 8 years of solid quality control experience in handbags, small leather goods, luggage or travel accessories.

• Experience with high-quality or branded products is preferred.

• Experience working in a buying office or sourcing office is highly preferred.

• Good technical knowledge of material quality, including PU, PVC, leather, jacquard and other fabrics.

• Good understanding of the manufacturing processes of handbags, small leather goods, luggage and travel accessories.

• Strong inspection, problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication skills and able to work closely with factories, suppliers and internal teams.

• Good command of written and spoken English and Putonghua.

• Willing to travel frequently to Mainland China, mainly Guangdong, and Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia and other locations as required.
