ROLE MISSION
You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality railway consultancy projects in Hong Kong and overseas.
You will help ensure that railway systems are designed, assessed and delivered safely, reliably and in accordance with project requirements.
ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will prepare tender documents, carry out engineering design work or design reviews, and support system engineering activities.
You will also assist with project management tasks and work closely with project teams, clients and other stakeholders.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Report to the Principal Engineer / Senior Engineer.
Prepare tender documents for local and overseas tendering projects.
Prepare engineering designs or perform design reviews.
Carry out system engineering work, including system assurance, risk management, requirements management, EMC management, and verification and validation (V&V).
Assist in the execution of project management tasks.
Support project teams in delivering consultancy assignments to the required quality, schedule, safety and cost standards.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders as required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, Computer, Software or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university in Hong Kong or overseas; a relevant Master’s degree is an advantage.
Corporate Member of HKIE, Chartered Engineer (CEng, ECUK), or an equivalent professional qualification.
At least 6 years’ relevant working experience in the railway industry.
Solid knowledge of railway systems, engineering design, system assurance, risk management and project delivery.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
Willing to travel when required.
