SAFETY SUPERVISOR - European MNC power station engineering (Tuen Mun Power Station)

ROLE MISSION

• Ensure safe site operations and full compliance with Hong Kong safety, health, and environmental requirements.

• Support the project team in maintaining a safe working environment and smooth site execution.

ROLE SUMMARY

• We are looking for a Safety Supervisor to support site safety at Tuen Mun Power Station.

• The role is suitable for a hands-on and safety-minded candidate with experience in construction site safety, especially in live plant, piping, mechanical, gas, or power plant environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices, and report them to the Safety Officer and Project Manager.

• Recommend practical measures to correct safety issues.

• Ensure site work follows the latest safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Prepare and review risk assessments and assist with Permit to Work applications.

• Check that safe work procedures are followed.

• Inspect machinery and equipment according to schedule.

• Keep proper safety records, certificates, notices, and HSE correspondence.

• Organize daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.

• Take part in internal and external HSE meetings.

• Monitor project safety equipment and report any shortages or defects.

• Check hazardous materials storage and MSDS records.

• Carry out HSSE and housekeeping inspections.

• Investigate incidents when required.

• Attend site meetings and safety patrols when required.

• Support other tasks assigned by the Safety Officer or Project Manager.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Qualified Safety and Health Supervisor.

• At least 2 years of site experience in safety and health supervision or coordination.

• Experience in piping construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related process industries is preferred.

• Experience in natural gas projects is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Hong Kong safety and health regulations is an advantage.

• Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Good spoken Cantonese.

• Good written and spoken English.
