Sample Room Manager - Garment Manufacturer - Station in Vietnam

ROLE SUMMARY

• The Sample Room Manager will oversee the daily operations of the sample room and lead the team in sample development, technical communication and problem-solving.

• The sample room manager will be responsible for managing the daily operation of the sample room and leading the team in sample development, technical communication, and problem solving.

• The role works closely with design, merchandising, production and quality teams to ensure samples are developed accurately from concept through to bulk production.

• This position requires close collaboration with the design, merchandising, production, and quality teams to ensure that samples are accurately developed from product concept to mass production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Factory General Manager.

• Manage and lead the daily operations of the sample room to meet output, quality and cost-control requirements.

• Manage and lead the daily operation of the prefabricated housing to ensure that production volume, quality and cost control requirements are met.

• Solve technical problems and provide professional advice on product development.

• Prepare and manage technical specification packages, clearly communicating fit and construction requirements from concept stage through to bulk production.

• Responsible for creating and managing technical specifications, from product concept to mass production, clearly communicating garment pattern and structural requirements.

• Ensure that products are developed in line with established fit and quality standards, manufacturing capabilities and cost requirements.

• Ensure that product development meets established templates and quality standards, and is compatible with production capacity and cost requirements.

• Improve material utilization and simplify sample-room operations.

• Improve material utilization efficiency and optimize and simplify the operation process of prefabricated houses.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

• Solid experience as a Sample Room Manager or Sample Room Supervisor in the garment industry.

• Possesses extensive work experience as a pattern room manager or supervisor in the garment industry.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a sample-room team effectively.

• Possesses excellent leadership skills and can effectively manage the prefabricated housing team.

• Experience in cotton knit garments is preferred.

• Those with experience in pure cotton knitwear will be given priority consideration.

• Experience in infant or children's wear is an advantage.

• Those with experience in infant or children's clothing are preferred.

• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fitting and sample development.

• Possesses solid technical knowledge of garment structure, pattern making, and sample development.

• Good communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Willing to be stationed in Vietnam, which is approximately a two-hour flight from Hong Kong.

• Willing to work in Vietnam long-term; Vietnam is about a two-hour flight from Hong Kong.
