Senior IT Manager – IT Operations

At Savills Hong Kong, IT plays a critical role in keeping our business operations stable, secure, and efficient every day. You’ll be part of a professional IT team responsible for supporting users, maintaining core systems, managing vendors, and ensuring that technology services run smoothly across our offices and managed properties. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who is hands-on, service-oriented, and capable of managing daily operations with maturity, discipline, and strong ownership.

The IT Manager will oversee daily IT operations, user support, infrastructure coordination, system maintenance, vendor management, operational governance, and selected IT projects. The role will ensure that IT services are delivered efficiently, incidents are resolved promptly, risks are managed properly, and continuous service improvements and innovation initiatives are implemented to support business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily IT operations, ensuring smooth delivery of end-user support, workplace technology services, infrastructure coordination, and business application support.

  • Manage incidents, service requests, problem resolution, and operational escalations to ensure timely response, proper prioritisation, and effective communication with users and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, regional support teams, vendors, and service providers to maintain system availability, network stability, hardware support, software deployment, and operational continuity.

  • Support and manage IT projects, including planning, requirement gathering, timeline tracking, resource coordination, user communication, testing support, implementation follow-up, and post-launch review.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate routine tasks, improve user experience, and introduce practical technology solutions that support business productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Monitor IT service performance, support queues, recurring issues, and operational risks, and implement practical improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user satisfaction.

  • Support IT asset management, procurement coordination, license tracking, inventory control, lifecycle planning, and related administrative processes.

  • Ensure IT operations and projects comply with internal policies, security requirements, audit standards, change management procedures, and regional or corporate governance expectations.

  • Prepare operational and project reports, service updates, risk summaries, issue logs, progress updates, and management dashboards to provide clear visibility of IT performance and outstanding actions.

  • Coach and guide support staff where applicable, promoting teamwork, accountability, service discipline, innovation mindset, and a customer-focused approach within the IT function.

 

Requirements

  • University graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • Typically 5 years or above of relevant IT experience, including solid exposure to IT operations, service delivery, infrastructure support, end-user computing, vendor management, and project coordination.

  • Strong hands-on understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows desktop environment, endpoint support, networking fundamentals, servers, cloud services, and common enterprise applications.

  • Proven experience managing IT incidents, service requests, operational support processes, user escalations, and small to medium-sized IT projects.

  • Good knowledge of IT project management practices, including requirement collection, planning, coordination, testing, change control, documentation, rollout support, and stakeholder communication.

  • Good knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity awareness, change control, asset management, documentation, and audit-related operational controls.

  • Practical mindset toward innovation, automation, process improvement, and adoption of new technologies to enhance service quality and business efficiency.

  • Strong organisational, analytical, vendor management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance daily operational demands, project delivery, and longer-term improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).

 

Candidates with stronger leadership exposure, broader infrastructure experience, proven experience managing regional or multi-site IT operations, or a track record in delivering IT projects and practical innovation initiatives will be considered favourably. The final title and grading will be commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility.
