Secondary Teacher – DP Business Management and TOK/EE (starting from August 2027)

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a highly qualified DP Business Management teacher to join our dynamic Humanities and Arts Department. The person should look forward to delivering the highest quality of learning in a stimulating, happy and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Domain

• Teach DP Business Management and supervise about 4 to 5 Extended Essay students and integrate Theory of Knowledge in the subject

• Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Humanities and Arts Department to create bespoke teaching and learning materials to enable effective and engaging differentiated instruction in the classrooms

• Provide regular verbal and written feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress

• Pastoral Domain and School-wide Committees

• Undertake pastoral care duties, including form-teachership responsibilities and leading/managing after-school clubs or activities

• Provide regular verbal and written feedback to students and parents regarding pastoral growth

The ideal applicant should

• Possess at least  an undergraduate Honours Degree in Business, Economics or related discipline and a recognised teacher qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent)

• Have proven experience (at least 3 years) in DP Business Management

• Native-level fluency in spoken English

• Possess strong commitment towards a high level of conceptual understanding and teaching of business management concepts

• Possess strong proficiency of education technology tools to complement the learning of business management in the classroom

• Have experience running a student co-op or business club in the school to complement the learning of business management in the classroom

• Possess competent proficiency in Google Classroom and other typesetting tools to produce professional documents

The following qualities are preferred but not compulsory:

• Teaching experience in Theory of Knowledge

• Active examiners of IB in either EE, IA or Business Management examination papers

• Teaching experience in IGCSE Business Studies (0450) and preparing for Cambridge IGCSE Business (0264)
