SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER overseas agents & logistics partners – forwarder and logistics (Kwun Tong)

Role Mission

• Your mission is to grow and strengthen the company’s global logistics network by acquiring and managing high‑quality overseas partners. 

• You will play a key role in driving revenue growth, expanding market coverage and ensuring seamless international operations through a robust, well‑managed agency ecosystem.

Role Summary

• Reporting to the Business Director, you will be responsible for the strategic development and management of overseas agents and logistics partners.

• You will identify and onboard high‑calibre agents, develop long‑term relationships, coordinate international shipments and ensure consistent service standards across the global network.

Job Description

• Drive market expansion by identifying, targeting and onboarding overseas agents in emerging and strategic markets, and maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.

• Develop and execute business development and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base within target industries such as manufacturing, retail and e‑commerce.

• Design and implement a comprehensive Agency Evaluation System to assess potential and existing partners based on qualifications, service quality, financial stability and reputation, and ensure regular performance reviews.

• Build and extend the company’s global network by acquiring high‑quality overseas agents and ensuring broad coverage for key trade lanes and service lines.

• Conduct regular market research and intelligence gathering to monitor industry trends, competitor activities and new business opportunities, and translate insights into actionable business plans.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for overseas agents, coordinating international shipments, resolving operational issues and ensuring smooth, end‑to‑end service delivery in line with industry standards and customer expectations.

• Collaborate with internal operations, sales and customer service teams to align partner capabilities with client needs and continuously improve service quality and delivery performance.

Ideal Candidate

• University degree in business, logistics, supply chain management or a related field.

• Proven experience in overseas agency management, international freight forwarding or a similar logistics/network‑development role.

• Results‑oriented mindset with a strong track record in building and maintaining long‑term professional relationships with partners and clients.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, French, etc.) are an advantage.

• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with experience handling customer and partner inquiries, service disruptions and operational challenges in a fast‑paced environment.

• Comfortable working with data, reports and KPIs, and able to adapt strategies based on market feedback and business performance.
