Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) lead the strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of the University’s roadmap towards achieving the goal of 100% student participation in non-local learning experiences;
(b) coordinate with academic units and administrative units to establish a sustainable framework for tracking, promoting, and expanding non-local learning opportunities;
(c) oversee the development and implementation of mechanisms for collecting, analysing, and reporting student participation data related to non-local learning experiences;
(d) monitor progress against the University’s non-local learning targets, analyse participation data, and prepare reports, projections, and recommendations for senior management and governance committees;
(e) lead promotional and engagement efforts to enhance student awareness of and participation in non-local learning opportunities;
(f) oversee the planning, administration, quality assurance, and continuous enhancement of the University’s student mobility programmes, including but not limited to non-local Work-Integrated Education (WIE) Programme;
(g) coordinate with Faculties/Schools/Units and host organisations to facilitate the effective delivery of non-local WIE opportunities and ensure alignment with the University’s academic and internationalisation objectives;
(h) support partnership development, including handling agreements and liaising with partners for student mobility programmes, including but not limited to non-local WIE and student mobility programmes; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Engagement or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least eight years of solid post-qualification experience in related areas of work, preferably in developing student programmes and services;
(c) a proven track record of leadership with evidence of excellent customer service, demonstrated creativity, flexibility and professionalism;
(d) substantial experience in data management, interactive dashboards and communications; and
(e) an excellent command of both written and spoken English, and strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
