Role Mission

  • To lead and strengthen the factory’s quality management function, ensuring that materials, production processes, and finished garments consistently meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements.

  • The role will focus particularly on material quality and performance, while driving effective inspection, audit, corrective-action, and continuous-improvement processes throughout the factory.

Role Summary

  • You will oversee product quality and compliance for the Cambodia intimate apparel manufacturing operation. You will develop and implement a robust quality management system, lead the quality inspection team, conduct audits, and work closely with production, technical, design, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.

  • The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of intimate apparel materials and their impact on product performance, fit, comfort, durability, and overall quality. You will also evaluate supplier capabilities, investigate the root causes of defects, and implement practical corrective and preventive actions.

  • This position requires regular travel between the company’s factories in Southeast Asia.

  • This role offers an excellent leadership opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take ownership of quality management at the Cambodia factory while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Job Description

  • Establish and maintain the factory’s quality management system for intimate apparel production.

  • Define quality standards, inspection procedures, work instructions, and control points for materials, production processes, and finished garments.

  • Monitor the quality of fabrics, elastics, trims, accessories, and other components against approved specifications.

  • Review material-related risks and ensure that fabric and trim performance meets customer and product requirements.

  • Lead and manage the factory quality inspection team, including work allocation, performance monitoring, training, and development.

  • Ensure in-line, end-line, and final inspections are conducted accurately and according to the approved inspection standards.

  • Conduct regular factory quality audits and follow up on findings until corrective actions are completed.

  • Work with production, technical, merchandising, design, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

  • Participate in pre-production meetings and provide quality input on construction, workmanship, materials, measurements, and production methods.

  • Review production quality results and identify recurring defects, material issues, and process weaknesses.

  • Investigate customer complaints, non-conformities, and major production defects using structured root-cause analysis.

  • Develop, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive action plans.

  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and escalate unresolved or recurring issues to management.

  • Evaluate suppliers and material vendors based on quality capability, technical expertise, delivery performance, and compliance with specifications.

  • Work with suppliers and factory teams to resolve material defects and prevent recurrence.

  • Monitor key quality indicators, including defect rates, first-pass yield, inspection results, customer complaints, and rework levels.

  • Prepare regular quality reports for management and recommend actions to improve factory performance.

  • Ensure factory quality practices remain aligned with customer requirements, applicable industry standards, and internal procedures.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce defects, rework, material waste, and production-related quality risks.

  • Travel between the company’s factories in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Dongguan as required.

  • Perform other quality-related duties and projects assigned by management.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Professional quality, textile, or manufacturing certifications are an advantage.

  • Proven experience in quality management within intimate apparel, lingerie, underwear, loungewear, lifewear, or related garment manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of intimate apparel materials and their impact on product quality, comfort, fit, durability, and performance.

  • Solid knowledge of garment construction, production processes, inspection procedures, quality systems, and factory audits.

  • Experience leading and developing quality inspection or QA/QC teams.

  • Strong ability to conduct root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Good understanding of supplier evaluation, material inspection, and quality-performance monitoring.

  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with multicultural teams.

  • Willing and flexible to travel between factories in Southeast Asia.

  • Fluent in English and Chinese, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
