The appointee will work in the Wellness and Counselling Centre of the Office of Student Affairs. Major duties include (a) providing psychological counselling and psychotherapy services to students; (b) conducting risk assessments and providing crisis intervention for students in distress; (c) coordinating developmental programmes; (d) promoting psychological health and wellness; (e) providing professional consultation and delivering in-service training; and (f) performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Applicants should have (i) a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Educational Psychology or Social Work; (ii) registration, accreditation, or full professional membership with a recognized professional body; (iii) at least three years of relevant post-qualification professional experience; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (v) strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for student wellbeing, a self-driven and proactive attitude, and a strong team spirit. Experience in working with university students and/or young adults is an advantage.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
