We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative management professional to support the operational excellence of our in-house design unit. The appointee will manage creative projects, liaise with stakeholders, and contribute design expertise to support the delivery of high-quality, innovative visual assets aligned with the University’s strategic and communications objectives.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) Project Management: managing workflows from concept planning to delivery, and processing optimization for concurrent creative projects, ensuring timely delivery of print publications, event materials, social media assets, marketing collateral, web interfaces, and other visual outputs; (b) Stakeholder Facilitation: translating requirements into clear creative briefs, aligning expectations, guiding feedback implementation, and supporting smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams; (c) Creative Execution: contributing hands-on design input, developing and presenting creative ideas, facilitating brainstorming, and providing constructive feedback to elevate creative products; (d) Fostering Creativity: supporting knowledge transfer of up-to-date design industry standards and tools to facilitate ongoing inspiration for creative ideation, visual quality, and production efficiencies; (e) Quality Assurance: upholding brand consistency and visual excellence across creative deliverables through quality review processes and supply of visual assets and templates, ensuring usability and version control; and (f) Special Projects: undertaking other special projects as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communications, Creative Business Management, Project Management, or a related discipline; (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) at least 4 years’ relevant executive experience in creative, communications, marketing, design, or related fields, including creative project and stakeholder management; (v) strong project management, organisational, communication, and facilitation skills; (vi) familiarity with design-thinking, agile ways of working and tools such as Notion or Jira; and (vii) hands-on design skills and sound design judgement to produce practical, visually effective solutions across print, digital, social media, and web materials. Having knowledge of AI-enabled creative tools for design ideation, image editing, workflow automation, or content production would be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test in both Chinese and English.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
