Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Smart Planning with GIS in the Department of Urban Planning and Design

Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Smart Planning with GIS in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref.: 537561) (to commence from January 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal)

 

Applicant should possess a strong Master's or doctoral degree in smart planning with GIS in the fields of urban planning, urban design, urban transportation and urban studies, architecture, landscape architecture, or related disciplines, preferably with substantial experience in professional practices.  Dedication to teaching and nurturing future talents is a must, and prior experience in teaching postgraduate and undergraduate courses, especially studio courses in universities is highly preferred.  Applicants who are members, or eligible for membership of professional institutions in related fields would be advantageous.

 

The appointee will substantially contribute to teaching, tutoring and the coordination of postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes in the department, provide a high level of administrative assistance to Programme Directors, and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his/her delegates.

 

A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Lecturer, or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer.
