Lecturer (Nutrition / Dietitian)

Health and Life Sciences Discipline

Major Duties:
(a) To perform teaching duties, including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
(b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c) To develop course curriculum and teaching materials;
(d)
To participate in departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions;
(e) To participate in networking with industry and sourcing industrial attachments, organizing seminars and talks for students and soliciting student scholarships; and
(f) To carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
(a) A recognised relevant degree, or equivalent professional qualification;
(b) At least 3 years’ full-time relevant teaching / industry experience, preferably in food, nutrition and health related areas such as nutritional services and training, health food products, or related field;
(c) Good records of industry linkage in the nutritional-related field; and
(d) Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese.

Notes:
(1) The initial posting is in IVE (Kwai Chung). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit the operational needs.
(2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written assessment.
(3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
