WATCH DESIGNER - US watch trading & manufacturing company (Kwai Fong/5 days)

COMPANY OVERVIEW

• We are a US watch trading and manufacturing company providing ODM and OEM solutions for well-known international, US and European fashion and lifestyle watch brands.

• We own a small factory in Shenzhen and work with manufacturing partners in China and Southeast Asia. Our focus is on fast prototyping, customised product development and quality production.

• You will join a friendly design team and work on creative watch development projects for international customers.

ROLE MISSION

• To create attractive and market-ready watch designs that meet customer requirements, brand direction and production needs.

ROLE SUMMARY

• You will take part in the watch design process, from initial ideas and sketches to design files for sampling and production. 

• You will work closely with the design, product development and factory teams to turn customer briefs into successful watch collections.

• This is a great opportunity for a watch designer who enjoys fashion, lifestyle products and creative product development. 

• No travel is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create watch designs based on customer briefs, market trends and brand directions.

• Prepare design sketches, mood boards, colourways and design presentations.

• Prepare design drawings and files for sampling and production.

• Select suitable materials, colours, finishes and details for watch designs.

• Work closely with the design, product development and factory teams during sampling and development.

• Follow up on sample comments and make design adjustments as needed.

• Support the team in creating new watch concepts and product proposals for customers.

• Keep design files, artwork and product records organised and up to date.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Tertiary education in Design, Fashion, Product Design or a related discipline

• At least 2–3 years’ watch design experience.

• Experience in international, US or European watch brands, fashion brands or lifestyle brands is highly preferred.

• Good knowledge of watch materials, colours, finishes and design details.

• Good sense of fashion trends and lifestyle products.

• Able to work independently and as part of a small creative team.

• Good communication skills and able to understand customer requirements.

• Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
