Job Highlights:

As the Dispenser, the role focuses on supporting the Pharmacist in delivering safe, accurate and efficient community pharmacy services through prescription processing, medicine preparation, customer service, pharmacy administration and stock control. The role maintains clear professional boundaries and refers all matters requiring clinical or professional judgement to the Pharmacist.

A typical day in this Role:  

• Process prescriptions and accurately prepare, count, label and assemble medicines for Pharmacist checking

• Explain pharmacy processes and factual service information, and refer professional enquiries to the Pharmacist

• Check medicine details, quantities, labels and expiry dates; immediately report discrepancies, errors and near missing

• Maintain accurate records, prescription filing, collection monitoring and an organised dispensary

• Support stock receipt, storage, rotation, expiry monitoring, stock counts and recall activities

• Follow legal, professional, company, privacy and operating requirements at all times

• Work closely with Pharmacists and store colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient customer journey

Success will depend on:

• Relevant dispenser or healthcare training and possesses relevant education background (Prefer Holder of Higher Diploma in Dispensary)

• Careful and systematic handling of prescriptions, medicines, labels and records

• Clear understanding of role boundaries and prompt escalation to the Pharmacist

• Courteous communication and responsible handling of confidential information

• Strong organisation, documentation, stock control and follow-through

• Good Cantonese, working English and Mandarin preferred, basic computer skills and flexibility for rostered retail hours

• Fresh graduate is welcome
