Assistant Finance Manager (Programming and System Analysis) (System Support & Development Section) (Ref. 260731004-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) collaborate with stakeholders across business units to gather and document detailed business requirements and present them to management with a clear understanding of business processes, logical workflows, and system controls;
(b) identify opportunities for process streamlining and automation based on the latest developments in the Finance Office, and provide solutions supported by new technology such as Agentic AI and Microsoft 365 Power Platform;
(c) provide system implementation support, troubleshoot system issues, respond to changing business needs, as well as participate in system enhancements and upgrade;
(d) design, develop, test, and maintain Robotic Process Automation bots using platforms such as Python or Power Automate;
(e) develop and optimise Structured Query Language (SQL) queries, stored procedures, triggers and views, as well as maintain and enhance workflows of Extraction, Transformation and Loading to consolidate data and meet reporting and analytics requirements; and
(f) perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Computer Science, Financial Technology, Information Systems, Accounting or a related discipline;
(b) at least five years of post-qualification experience in support and implementation of a premium enterprise-grade Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) (preferably Oracle E-Business Suite) and solid experience with ETL tools (such as Oracle Analytics Server);
(c) a good understanding of accounting, payment, procurement and payroll processes with sound knowledge of system security;
(d) solid hands-on experience in integrating digital solutions, including Python, Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SQL to finance processes, such as Procure-to-pay and Record-to-Report;
(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(f) strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
