Facilities Officer (Facilities Management) (FMO) (Ref: 26001RD)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Monitoring and evaluating contractor performance in the delivery of facilities management (FM) services, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance;

• Assisting in the development and implementation of facilities management policies for the University, contributing to strategic planning initiatives;

• Providing comprehensive logistical support for university-wide events, ensuring that all requirements are met efficiently;

• Managing the handling, response, investigation, and follow-up of feedback and complaints related to facilities management services;

• Supporting supervisors in team management and operational tasks, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment;

• Aiding in the preparation of FM-related tenders, ensuring compliance with University standards and requirements; and

• Performing any other duties as assigned.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A recognised bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of two years of relevant working experience, preferably within tertiary education institutions, public organisations, or large-scale property management companies.

• Ability to lead and manage contractors and handle a complex, varied workload.

• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with knowledge of Putonghua preferred.

• Familiarity with basic office software, including MS Office.

Candidates may be invited to participate in a trade or written test.
