About Us
香港聾人子女協會是香港政府認可慈善機構，屬亞洲地區的第一個註冊CODA會，於2013年正式成立，旨在協助香港的CODA認知自己雙語、雙文化的獨特身份，學習成長、發展潛能，從而建立互助社群及積極的人生觀。CODA是聾人家庭的下一代，因此本會亦致力關注香港的聾人權益和手語政策，從教育、倡議、出版、學術研究等多方面入手，向公眾人士和不同持份者 (stakeholders) 推廣手語及聾人文化意識，協力締造聾健共融的社會。
CODA(HK) is the first of its kind in Asia. Established in 2013, its objectives are to help CODAs of Hong Kong understand and acknowledge their special identity as bilingual and bicultural, learn and develop potential skills, build a self-help community, and adopt positive outlooks of life. CODAs are the second generation of deaf people. We are therefore concerned about government policies of deaf welfare and sign language. Through education, advocacy, publication and academic research, we promote knowledge of sign language and deaf culture to the public and various stakeholders. We believe in building a society in which the deaf and the hearing integrate harmoniously.
