On the Road in China offers unique holiday experiences, primarily in China but also some of its neighboring countries (e.g., Laos, Thailand, Vietnam). At the heart of our services lie guided self-driving journeys, some of which combine the pleasures of driving with other activities such as photography and hiking. [rn][rn]Our journeys are designed for travelers who[rn][rn]• Are seeking unusual travel experiences[rn]• Would like to see a side of China that is not only beautiful – much more so than foreign media ever suggest! – but also rarely visited[rn]• Enjoy the privacy and freedom of driving journeys[rn][rn]We own our fleet of cars – 2009 Toyota Landcruiser Prados - and these are maintained and managed by Avis. Each car is equipped with a pre-programmed Garmin sat-nav system and walkie-talkies which give drivers a good combination of freedom - there's no need to drive in a tight convoy - and safety. [rn][rn]You might ask, as many of our customers initially do, “Driving in China? You must be joking!” In fact, it is not only possible but very enjoyable: we have driven and taken customers on over 200,000km of safe and enjoyable driving journeys in China. [rn][rn]At present, we market our journeys primarily in Hong Kong. Our business development in the next 1-2 years will focus on Taiwan and Singapore. We also market our journeys opportunistically in Germany, Switzerland, the U.K., and Australia. [rn][rn]Existing marketing partners include, among others, American Express, Autotoll, the Hong Kong Automobile Association, Marco Polo, Kuoni, Abercrombie & Kent, and the Tour Club of Switzerland.
