About Us
We are a single-family office seeking an Alternative Investment Consultant to oversee, optimize, and strategically expand our tangible asset portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor global art market trends, auction data, and macro-economic indicators.
Direct all structural research regarding provenance, authenticity, and condition for potential acquisitions.
Structure and negotiate high-value private treaty sales, gallery acquisitions, and auction consignments.
Oversee the operational management of the collection, including global freeport storage optimization, international customs/tax compliance, museum-grade transit, and specialized insurance underwriting.
Act as the family office’s formal representative .
Qualifications & Profile
Educational Pedigree: A dual background is highly preferred—possessing a rigorous academic foundation in Art History/Conservation from a world-tier institution (e.g., Courtauld Institute, Ivy League, Oxbridge) coupled with an advanced degree in Art Business (e.g., Sotheby’s Institute) or a related commercial discipline.
Market Expertise: experience within a blue-chip commercial gallery, major international auction house (Specialist level), or an established art advisory firm dealing with high-net-worth portfolios.
Financial & Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to analyze art as an alternative asset class. Familiarity with portfolio theory, art-collateralized lending, and the financial structures used by family offices is highly advantageous.
Impeccable Discretion: Unquestionable integrity and an absolute commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of the family.
Language Skills: Exceptional communication skills in English; fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred given our regional hub.
