Supervisor – Group Financial Accounting

The CFO Office is responsible for serving the accounting and financial needs of the Head Office and coordinating the related services within the CK Hutchison Group. We are seeking motivated accounting professionals to join our Financial Reporting Team.

Responsibilities:

The positions contribute to the overall integrity of the Group’s financial data. With a specific initial focus, the successful candidates will:

For Consolidation & Financial Reporting Focus:

• Focus on the mechanics of the Group’s consolidation process and group reporting across our global entities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Group’s financial reporting

• Oversee assigned segments of the Group’s consolidation process, preparing journal entries, supporting schedules, and statutory/management financial statements with detailed note disclosure

For Cash Flow Management & Analysis Focus:

• Serve as a key contributor to the Group’s liquidity monitoring and financial oversight, specializing in complex consolidated cash flow reporting and high-level variance analysis

• Prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly cash flow reports, including detailed forecasts and comprehensive variance analysis against budgets and prior periods

Strategic support: Assist senior team leadership in

• Performance & analytics: Conducting variance analysis against budgets and prior periods for the consolidated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement

• External reporting: Developing schedules and analysis for interim and annual financial statements for the Group and assigned Head Office entities

• Benchmarking & research: Conducting research on prevailing market-acceptable and best practices regarding accounting treatments and financial presentation to support the Group remains at the forefront of reporting standards

•  Budget oversight: Formulating the annual budget for assigned entities and supporting the broader Group consolidated budget

Special projects:

• Execute ad-hoc financial projects as required. Depending on progress and team commitments, the roles may cross-train in broader Group consolidation and preparation work

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance or related disciplines

• Qualified member or graduate member of a recognized professional accounting bodies (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CPA)

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing or consolidation, ideally gained from a Big 4 / professional firm or a large-scale multinational corporation with multi-location operations

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards

• Hands-on experience with Oracle and Hyperion is a distinct advantage

• Proficiency in graphical data presentation / visualization is a plus; specifically, the ability to transform datasets into clear dashboards (e.g., using Waterfall charts, advanced Excel, Power Point)

• Meticulous attention to detail and sharp analytical skills

• An independent, self-motivated worker capable of thriving under pressure and meeting tight reporting deadlines

•  Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
